rain on my parade

i was on the phone with a friend.  i gushed, 'i'm soooo happy... i wonder up to when...'

friend:  'until you bang your head again!'

ooops... talk about dampening my joy.  that was a rhetorical question, if at all.  i wasn't expecting a reply... ugh!
