my 4-year-old granddaughter saw me and greeted me 'hi.'

i replied, 'good morning...'

she repeated the greeting.

again i said, 'good morning...'

for the third time she said, 'hi.'

ok...  i got it.  i said, 'hello.'

end of greetings...  ; )
