ordering meals through a food delivery app.

a neighbor wanted two orders of bopis and two orders of lechon paksiw.  my mom wanted one order each of the same.

click-click-click.
done.

my phone rings.
it's the store.  they have only two orders of bopis left.

i text the neighbor.  i apologize saying i know she notified me about bopis first but then there's only two left so she'll have to forgo one in favor of my octogenarian mom.

she readily agreed.

symphony of goodness

yesterday, my niece sent me chocolate chip almond cookies that she baked.

today, she sent me another batch, this time chocolate chip almond cookies with chocolate topping.
just like yesterday's,
it smelled so yummy
and
tasted really delicious!
(and i'm not saying this just because she's my niece.)

i like chocolate chips.
i like almonds.
i love chocolate.
and yes, you could even have me at plain cookie (wahaha...  easy?!).
put them all together, my taste buds are rejoicing!

when my dad was still alive, whenever we'd have food made up of individually delicious ingredients, he'd exclaim, "tatal man!"

initially i didn't know what tatal was.  he said it's wood shavings.  you combine it with delicious stuff even the supposedly nonedible wood would taste good.
("tatal man!" ~ "even wood!")

all the more a cookie 🍪
