sleep well, live well

i was finishing something and barely had sleep in the last five days...  well, last night i was finally able to tuck in before midnight and not early morning...

i had a kinda weird dream, so many people and so many things happening...  overall, however, the atmosphere was okay...  nothing dramatic or heavy...

i felt good waking up...  well, not totally refreshed yet but good enough...  it felt like whatever damage the previous sleepness nights have done have mostly been repaired...  you know that feeling of shallowness in your muscles when you lack sleep?  well, this morning i woke up and felt like the muscles are somehow a bit full again...

i'll be going out later but expect to be home early and in bed before midnight...  i intend to get another good night's sleep...

they say

'no one looks back on their life
and remembers the nights
they had plenty of sleep'

true...  but i think your body does...  and it collects at a high price...

a different viewpoint

' saw myself in a pic from my best friend's wedding more than 13 years ago...  my outfit looked awful!

i was wearing a three-piece dress:

1.  spaghetti top

2.  long skirt with slit at the back

and

3.  hmmm...  what do you call it?  not sure whether it's a coat...  it's something you wear over the spaghetti blouse...  it's like a loose, short-sleeved, upper-hip-length cropped tuxedo opening V-shaped all the way to the belly-button...

all three pieces were of the same fabric...  monochrome...  no prints whatsoever...

that dress looked good frontal (at least to me, hehe)...  but then i was a bit sideways in the pic and only now (yup, more than a decade later) did i realize that the outfit looked kinda off sideways...

next time check from different angles...  so very true that not because something looks good from your standpoint does not mean it also looks good from a different perspective...

taking it back

i was wondering who these people were who were appearing on my facebook notifications and news feed.  there's a name that did not ring a bell.  there's a profile pic i couldn't quite figure out.

i checked.

oh, hehe...  the pic is that of someone i definitely know.  the unfamiliar name was not a mere nickname or the usual alias...  it was a contraction of both the first name and the last name.  creative..  : )

the other one, i know the name but the person on the pic i don't.  who is this?  click, click, click...  ooops!!!  'Friend Request Sent'...  whaaaatttt???  i didn't intend to do that!  wait, 'Cancel Request'...  whew!  good thing they have that feature.

if only things were as simple in the real world.  for those who decide on something then change their minds.  and for those who suddenly realize they've just done something in error.

non-discriminatory

mom offering me raisin bread...

me:  'thanks...  i don't like raisin, mom...'

mom:  'but this is from the baguio country club...'

me:  'i know...'

i don't like raisin regardless of its pedigree...  ; )

law of attraction

at my friend's house...

me:  'why do you have coins on your window?'

housemate:  'they're supposed to be for good luck...'

me:  'how come you have five-centavo and twenty-five-centavo coins?  can't you at least make them one-peso coins for greater luck?'

; )
