at a convenience store... i was getting a bun from the hotdog steamer with tongs and the bun broke... the crew helped me get another one but when she pried the bun open to put in the hotdog, her thumb pressed on the bread...
me: 'oh, you touched the bread!'
crew: 'my hands are clean!'
me: 'even then... replace the bread, please...'
she did... but she wasn't happy about it...
i dunno whether i was asking too much... but i've gotten bread and hotdog there numerous times and it never occurred to me to do it with my bare hands.... i'm the one who's going to eat yet i've always used the tongs... even when already eating, i try to keep the food within the wrapper... i won't mind though if i get to touch MY food... but if it's someone else, unless it's hand-pulled noodles, i'd rather not see their finger on my pie...
