turnaround

phone call from my sister...

sister:  'come over...  there's food...'

me:  'oh, thanks...  i've eaten...'

sister:  'there's pizza...'

me:  'thanks...  i'm full...'

sister:  'there's mojos...'

me:  'oh, yeah?  i'll be there in a bit...'

some things trigger a change of heart...

there's always room for mojos 😋

chalk up

i was driving home yesterday and suddenly felt like turning right instead of going straight.  guess what, there, two streets before ours, was the neighbor with their dog and right before my eyes the dog peed on the tire of a parked vehicle.

eh?
what timing!
i really had to chance upon that?!
(the neighbor's dogs,
past and present,
have been doing the same thing and more
to our vehicles
and
within our property
for yearS!)

everything happens for a reason.
and i think the reason i saw that
is for me to blog about it.

this is a recording...

medical clearance

someone sent me a copy of her Medical Clearance Certificate issued by the Quezon City Health Department.

three things struck me.

one.
it says, "RECOVERED from COVID."

oh!  i was thinking the certificate would say "negative for COVID-19."
but yeah, i guess that's for the medical lab results to state, if ever a second swab test was done (after the initial positive result).

two.
it cites "signs and symptoms attributed to COVID-19 infection such as fever, headache, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or runny nose."

hmmm...  no mention of cough?
the World Health Organization says that's one of the most common symptoms of COVID-19!
well, the certificate does say "such as."  i'm just thinking the template would prioritize the inclusion of a common symptom over a less common one.

three.
it says the patient was "quarantined for 14 days (from <date of swab test when she tested positive for SARS-CoV-2>).
aw!  i have clips from my security cam that would show the person did not quarantine that early.  i sure hope she did not infect anyone.

good health, safety and protection to us all 💪😷🙏

spot the difference

there's this shop in shopee, everytime the P45 shipping discount voucher is applicable to their product, their shipping fee is P80.

on days when the promotional shipping discount is not applicable to the very same product, their shipping fee is P45.

🙄

on the contrary...

friend telling me about his shopee purchases...

me:  "did you get free shipping?  they have free shipping midnight to 2 a.m., noon to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  that's savings of 45 pesos.  you don't just stumble on that."

friend:  "yesterday i stumbled upon 50 pesos.  also 10 pesos."

wahaha...  #pwned 🤣
