perspective

question:  'what's that?  apron?'

me:  'no...  seat cover...'

and i found myself wondering how  someone could mistake these hanging inside-out foam-exposed car seat covers for an apron.  what an awful-looking apron that would be.

later i realized we were at opposite ends of the clothes bar and on her side were aprons while on mine were the seat covers.

there is logic to the madness.

all or nothing

cousin telling me she didn't join my 'contest' anymore because there'd be only three 'winners' and she saw that she was already late.

me:  'you're not late!  the day ended with only one qualifier.' 🤦‍♀️

background:
it was the last day of my quarantine and to 'celebrate,' i posted in facebook that i'll make a Moment Cam caricature for the first three to send me a private message saying
"good health!"

i wasn't sure whether they were not really gunning for the caricature but there were those who were so close.
some posted "good health" as a comment on my post instead of in a private message;
others sent me messages but with no mention of "good health" whatsoever.

only one followed my instructions to the letter.  only she got a caricature.

i thought of making caricatures for those who commented "good health" on the post instead of sending it as a private message.  i decided against it though.  uhm, i don't want to reward non-compliance. 😉

causation

dissuading a friend from going on a long (bike) ride alone.  i was urging him to find a buddy / join a group.

he said his buddy cannot join him anymore because of a cough.

he elaborated:
the buddy
was biking along the highway;
suddenly experienced intense coughing;
blinked;
wasn't able to brake;
didn't see the pothole;
hit the pothole;
lost control;
reached the sidewalk.

on the sidewalk, there were students waiting for the bus.
the buddy almost hit the group.
the students broke into screams.
good thing the brake worked.

the buddy fell.
kinda grave
(he had no helmet).
good thing the traffic group was present.
they helped him.
he had no injuries but the bike was damaged.
he had to walk home.
he even borrowed bus money from a traffic enforcer.

my friend said
the bike fit into the bus.
[i was like,
of course!  duh!]

anyway, he said the buddy cannot join him anymore because the bike was damaged.

to sum up,
he said the bike was damaged because the buddy coughed.

huh?!

ahahahahaha...  long story made short...  whatta jump! 🦋🦘🤣

good.  enough.

i saw in foodpanda that seattle's best was at 40% off.  hmmm...  i am not a coffee drinker but i love discounts.  therefore...  hahaha

i was actually craving chocolates earlier.
(i couldn't go out to buy, however, as i am on quarantine having been exposed to someone COVID-positive.
->  i was chiding a neighbor for being out when they should be on quarantine because someone at their house is COVID-positive.
guess what, when results of her swab test came out, she, too, was positive, wah!  suddenly i myself had to go on quarantine!)

i checked the menu thinking maybe i could order hot chocolate.  then i saw that they had both almond and hazelnut latte.  i love my chocolates nutty!  instead of hot choco therefore, i ordered the lattes.

they were still very hot when they were delivered.

so there i was half-heartedly looking at my beverage and somehow thinking i should have ordered chocolates instead.  but nah, grocery delivery costs so much more than food delivery.  yup, coffee is good enough.

boom!!!
it suddenly rained!  heavily!

ei!  hot coffee on a rainy morning!  sehr gut! 🌧️☕😊

the universe saw me making do
and made my choice worthwhile.

incompatible

and so i thought of recording my shopee shake game.
you shake your phone and coins come cascading.
you can win up to 380,000 coins.
(i won 0.38. 😂)

when the game ended, i tried to view the recording.  ta-daaannn!!!
it was truncated!

eh?!

uhm, i forgot the recorder is set to stop when i shake my phone.  🤦‍♀️🤣
