how'd you get there?

i go home and open my door and there was a lizard on the floor!

i was surprised that there was a lizard.
i was doubly surprised that it was on the floor.

i don't see lizards often but the few times that i did, i saw them on the ceiling.  in my mind therefore, a lizard's place is on the ceiling 🤭

but yeah, they cannot just pop up there.  unless they were born on the ceiling, they must have started on the floor, on the ground, someplace low.
 
just because i don't see it doesn't mean it isn't so.
