charity begins at home

i noticed this just now while browsing today's newspaper.  the headlines of two major *philippine* dailies yesterday, august 28, 2011, were worlds apart...

the philippine star had:

     'Mina' weakens after landfall

the philippine daily inquirer:

     New York City is closed

hmmm...

i must say i'm guilty of the same, too...  i posted about hurricane irene in facebook but not about mina...  : (
