i've been trying to empty my place for the longest time now.  phone calls:

me:  'mamu, you need a rice cooker?'

sister-in-law:  'ay, nope.  ours is still good.'

me:  'how 'bout a coffee maker?'

sister-in-law:  'thanks but there's one here...'

ok.  call mom.

me:  'muts, you need a rice cooker?'

mom:  'actually i'm thinking of replacing the one here.'

me:  'ok...  i'll give you mine... unused...  yours not good anymore?'

mom:  'it's ok...  but the design has faded...'
